A Los Angeles medical billing and consulting company is seeking an experienced Medical Biller.
Looking for these requirements:
• Medical Billing experience PREFERRED
• HS Degree, or equivalent
• Must work independently and quickly
• Must have strong computer skills and comprehension of appropriate software packages, such as MS Office
• Must have excellent communication skills, verbal & written.
• Must have good analytical skills
• Must be highly organized
• Must be knowledgeable of HMO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, PPO, Commercial Insurance billing
Duties include:
• Handling follow-up questions from patients, resolving discrepancies or errors, and ensuring that all billing and accounting records are kept in a safe place.
• Send insurance claims
• Verifies OR procedure codes, CPT codes, & Insurance addresses
• Receives, reviews, and corrects all insurance mail backs.
• Operates; personal computer, adding machine, photocopier, fax machine
• Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner, relays telephone and verbal messages promptly and accurately, and refers/transfers telephone calls as appropriate.
• Work on two billing programs; Prime Clinical Systems and Vision Program
• Electronic Billing through MedAvant

Medical Biller Needed
A Multi-specialty clinic (Physical therapy, Chiropractic Orthopedic and Acupuncture) is seeking full time medical insurance biller that will be able to assist current biller. 2+ years of experience preferred.
Must have good knowledge and understanding EOBs, knowldege of CPT/ICD9 codes, tracking claim status, denials and insurance verfication.
Must be able to communicate with patients and insurance companies. must have good problem solving skills, punctual and a team player.
Be proficient in general computer skills and data entry, charge/payment posting.
$15-$17 / hr, depnding on experience
